I was visiting my dad in Riverdale, in the bronx- which is very Irish and Jewish in population, which makes my find extra odd. I was sent to key food to buy olives and bread crumbs and on the way out I was going to buy one of those quarter toys for my little sister who tagged along with me, and lone behold- “Bling Teeth- collect all 10 grills” if you’ve ever been to riverdale, you know how funny this is. I had to document it- took a photo with my iPhone:
On the set today for Crosby’s debut apparence in “Get Loose” from Fokis’s A Walk Through Myspace project. They were shooting on the train tracks, being Miz Metro and all I had to have a cameo! I snapped a few flicks on my iPhone, which I write this to u on now – next generation blogger,lol.

Meet: Contessa! Who’s has a dope show that I want you all to watch on The New Pop called “Pop Goes Contessa”- any one in the New Pop Fam is Fam of mine, so check this girl out- she’s one of a kind, and it won’t be long till her show gets picked up on a network!

So my totally insane and brilliant 19 year old cousin, Alessandra has edited quite the masterpiece, renowned tattoo artist Johnathan Shaw’s latest book” Narcisa: Our Lady of Ashes”. Alessandra is a very gifted writer herself, I remember when me and her were sleeping on the floor of her father’s tiny downtown apartment half drunk I was yelling at her to write a book already, that she was talented and fucked up enough to do whatever the hell she wanted. I don’t know if it was my kick in her ass, or her own neurotic self determination ( which it was) but she moved to L.A when she was 18, cleaned up her act in a big way- and is now a professional writer and editor for Jonathan Shaw, writes a style column for the L.A Times, and has worked with the likes of Johnny Depp. Alessandra has already turned down a book deal from Vice, waiting for the right deal to come along (which it will), with her expensive taste and in your face style of writing expect to be hearing of my gifted younger cousin very soon. Hello Hello! Soooo a lot has happened since the last time I biggity blogged (I’ll never say that again, don’t worry) on Yo! Go. My performance on Fearless T.V aired on Fox 5 this past Saturday! SXSW was an intense crazy experience, music and free beer everywhere!!! The Fire Flies were down there, so it was nice to see some familiar faces. There is talk of Purchase having it’s own showcase at SXSW next year, let’s hope this happens : )

Santogold KILLED it!!! She gave one of the best shows I saw @ SXSW- she seemed to be having a lot of fun, and so was I jumping up and down in the front. I’ve known Santi for a few years now, she’s one of the nicest most professional girls you will ever meet. She deserves every ounce of success she’s getting- and is one hell of a songwriter. Her back up dancers can keep a straight face, that’s for sure- and they add the perfect something to the Santogold show.
Florence and the Machine was nutty and AMAZING, this girl is going to be around for a long time. Her voice is undeniable and she’s most certainly a nutter, in the best possible way. She jumped into a waterfall pool in the middle of the venue and dragged an audience member in, was soaking wet- then ran back to stage sang the last chorus and then crawled under the stage and climbed out the other side running backstage. Nobody clapped, or knew how to react- we were all just in aww, and knew that we just witnessed one of the best shows at SXSW:

Recently a friend of mine passed away, Asif the Metaphysical Wizard, you might have recognized him from the train- where he would regularly beat box into a mic and a mysterious amp in his back pack-filling the train car with fat beats, that no one knew where they were coming from. He was a free spirit, and a truly amazing person. I performed with him multiple times as a part of the FUSE in Washington sq. park. There was a wonderful doc series done on him- if you have 15 minutes watch these videos to pay tribute to a life that ended way too short.

Last Saturday Crosby and I got to be apart of a very creative opening at Deitch Gallery for Michel Gondry’s exhibit for his film “Be Kind Rewind” starring Jack Black and Mos Def. The whole gallery was turned into the multiple sets that were used in the film, and a few other kids and I were to go around shooting our own film on all the different set’s while there were hundreds of people walking around, watching us and exploring the environment. It was pretty wild, talk about having to be private in public- we had a blast though. The public can make an appointment to come in over the course of the next month and make a film of their own in the space, and they are given one DV tape and a cam corder from the gallery which they have to return at the end of their hour. There was a line all the way down the block and around the corner- it was intense, it was a joy to be a part of the first crew to make a film at the exhibition. containing a variety of movie sets where visitors can make their own renditions of films. All videos created

time without being part of the commercial system and serving it. Ultimately, I am hoping to create a network

One of my dear friends Steve Paul just moved and there are some super cool collector items laying around his new place. Steve is a wonderful character, he used to manage the NY Dolls, along with Muddy Waters and most recently owns and runs DowntownTV.com, Kiddisko.com and is developing various online television shows that have an old school show business flavor with a modern edge. We were all catching up at the new DowntownTV headquarters on Saturday night, and I snapped a few pictures, and posed for one as well.
