I am an entertainer and music industry professional. A professional DJ, personality, and music industry tastemaker to the stars. I keep it humble. My whole motto is Real; Respect; Real.

Originally, I am from Brooklyn, NY. I’ve been from coast to coast, top to bottom, and now internationally known. Please believe it.
WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO BE FAMOUS?
Fame is overrated. Everyone wants to be famous but no one wants to work. I find it amusing because most indviduals only see the pros. They have no knowledge of the cons and vicious cycle that comes with fame. I don’t think there is any comfort zone in the entertainment business. Everyone has to get in where they fit in and timing is everything. As long as one continues to strive towards their ultimate plateau they will always excel. Focus on the financial aspects of the business in addition to respect versus “fame.”
WHY SHOULD ANYONE CARE?
I think everyone should care about quality. The problem is that not enough individuals take the time to embrace talent. It’s a bigger issue at hand. The business as a whole is oversaturated. We need to begin to teach the youth and new generations about the four elements and the urban culture as a whole. Hip Hop not commercial rap music!

WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?
Well, I know I’m MC K~Swift, one of the founding members of the New Rap Order, also a member of the Universal Zulu Nation. I’m the oldest of two sons, and my parents made us handsomely. I am a child of the sun, and a concerned citizen of the earth.
WHAT DO YOU DO THAT IS SO SPECIAL?
I do a few special things. For starters, I create beautiful, thoughtful and oftentimes loud Hip Hop music. I also facilitate creative writing and performance workshops for teens through non-profits like Urban Word NYC and Youth Speaks. I also do workshops with educators at the High School and University Levels on bringing Hip Hop Education into their classrooms. Oh, I’m also one of the producers of a weekly show on WBAI 99.5FM New York called Rise Up Radio. It airs every Friday night from 9-10pm and streams live at www.wbai.org, yo.
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL YOUR LIFE?
My life started in my birthplace, Brooklyn. My first home was in Brownsville, and I’ve lived around the country and overseas. I was an Army Brat, so I’ve domiciled in Hawaii, Tennessee, Kentucky and Germany among other places. But I’ve lived in the Lower East Side (Lowa Deck!) since 1994. That’s the year I started recording on a professional tip actually. I’ve also been to a number of places that I haven’t lived in. I won’t list all of those, but I’ll say my favorite place to visit is Oakland, California.
WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO BE FAMOUS?
I’ve heard that I am famous, and I didn’t hear that from myself! On the real though, I’m not looking for fame, as much as I have an appreciation for recognition. I was a champion athlete in middle and high school, and an academic scholarship student along with that, so I think that quality work which resulted from dedication can be rewarded in many ways. Also, I express an opinion in my songs on the state of the world that I think is worth listening to. It’s a point of view that isn’t given enough light by mainstream media. It’s the “intelligent hood” point of view.
WHY SHOULD ANYONE CARE?
I was just about to tell you. The world is a mess. The United States and many of its people pretend to play the role of World Guardians. However, the actions of many capitalistic entities based in the US contribute to the death and destruction of poor people around the planet. That’s pretty much why I care.

REPH$$… I’m mad different things to mad different people but at the
end of the day I think that I am someone who is about movement and
growth. I’m just trying to live, help some people along the way and be
happy. I’m trying to keep it simple and enjoy what I got because
everything comes to an end.
WHAT DO YOU DO THAT IS SO SPECIAL?
I’m not sure. If I knew that I would probably be paid right now. Um,
I know I’m good at communication with people. Letting them know what I
think about things and how I feel. Thats probably why I’m in to music
and art, its all about documenting my emotions and what’s going down
around me.
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL YOUR LIFE?
Wash Heights NYC… Living and burning it down. In cumulative hours
I’ve probably have spent a lot time in the crib, at school and on the
block burning it down. In the last 10 I’ve spent a lot of time in the
studio working on music, art, and burning it down.
WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO BE FAMOUS?
People know me but I think what is more important is what they know me
for. Anybody can throw a ridicules video of themselves up on Youtube
and have millions of hits but do you really want to be famous for those
things. I rather be known for touching lives in a positive way,
helping when people need help the most. Not to say I ain’t never hurt
nobody running the streets of NY, because I know I have and will
probably continue to do so, sorry.
WHY SHOULD ANYONE CARE?
I think that people should care because they are alive. If you don’t
care well then you wasting life and you missing out. Most of the time
people stop caring because they have stopped feeling. There could be a
number of different reason for why people stop feeling but one thing is
for sure, by cutting off your emotions you are cutting off both the
good and the bad parts of life, not just the bad. You can’t have one
with out the other. Try giving a shit once and while and see how that
works for you.
